Soyameal (soyabean meal, "soyameal" in India) is the residue after solvent extraction — the dry, cream-coloured, ~48% protein solid that anchors nearly every commercial poultry ration. We toast to precisely inactivate anti-nutritional factors like trypsin inhibitor without denaturing the protein — the difference between meal that grows a broiler and meal that just sits in the crop.
